Can I use Petline for animals other than cats and dogs?

Though we adore all animals, Petline only offers its services to cats and dogs.

Is there a limit on how many vet or pet expert appointments I can make?

Within reason, members can use our platform as much as they want.

How are your pet professionals credentialed?

Veterinarians will have obtained a Bachelor's Degree, a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree, and (if currently still practicing veterinarian medicine in their own private practice) have state board certification.

Behavior Consultants will be certified in animal behavior and have professional experience training and interacting with companion animals. The behaviorist will have the ability to address questions regarding training and the relationships between an animal’s health, environment, experiences, and behavior.

Nutrition Consultants will be certified in animal nutrition and have years of experience analyzing and recommending the nutritional content of companion animal food. Nutritionists will be able to break down animal nutrition through product dissemination, examining an animal's behavior in their environment, and through reactions to the environment and medications.

Groomers working for Petline will be both certified and professionally experienced, some having owned their own salons for years. This enables them to answer questions for both cats and dogs on general terminology, health care, pesticides, clippers, hair care, oral hygiene, etc.

Can a Petline vet prescribe my pet medication?

Our veterinarians cannot prescribe medications for our member's pets. The AVMA's Principles of Veterinary Medical Ethics require a Veterinarian-Client-Patient Relationship (VCPR) before a veterinarian can prescribe medication for an animal patient. In addition, most states have laws that specifically require a VCPR for a veterinarian to be able to write a prescription. Petline follows the guidelines set forth by the AVMA.

Can a Petline vet diagnose my pet?

Our veterinarians may provide general advice but will not specifically diagnose or treat patients (per the AVMA).

What payment methods can I use?

We accept most major credit and debit cards.

What is the term of the unlimited plan?

A one year term.  Will auto-renew month to month thereafter until canceled.

Can I cancel the unlimited plan?

Unlimited plans are not cancellable or refundable but are transferable to another person for the remainder of the term.
